Job Summary

Scope: Part-time

Duration: Permanent

Employment Type: Permanent or fixed-term employment

About the Job

We are currently seeking a certified Special Pedagogue for Brunnby School, grades F-9.

We offer a small-scale environment and a workplace with close relationships to colleagues, children/students, and guardians. The school also collaborates closely with the owner's representatives, working together based on well-functioning structures and clear guidelines to develop the quality of our operations. Processes and decision-making paths are short, allowing for quick visibility of the results of decisions made.

Job Description

The role of the Special Pedagogue involves coordinating the school's student health services, documenting, leading, and following up on interventions at the individual, group, and school levels. The assignment includes supporting students' knowledge development both directly (one-on-one and in groups) and indirectly as a supervisory function for teachers, educators, and support staff.

Together with other staff members at the school, you will share responsibility for all students' well-being, safety, and knowledge development during the school day.

We work based on Maria Montessori's ideas and research on learning, which includes, for example, teaching in mixed-age groups.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified Special Pedagogue, preferably with experience. You feel confident in your professional role and have good knowledge of the Education Act and current regulatory documents. You work in a structured and goal-oriented manner and are willing to take overall responsibility for coordinating the school's student health services.

Montessori training or experience with Montessori pedagogy is an advantage.

Personal Qualities

For this role, we are looking for someone with drive, commitment, and a desire to contribute to the development of the school. You are solution-oriented, flexible, responsible, and see opportunities in your work. It is also important that you are collaborative and able to build good and trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues to contribute to well-being and safety for everyone.

Recruitment is ongoing, so please apply as soon as possible.
