The Education Department is responsible for preschool, primary school, after-school centers, upper secondary school, adult education, as well as child and student health services. Approximately 1,100 employees work here, creating a safe and developmental school and childcare environment together.

Svarteskolan is a grades F-6 school with just over 200 students. It is part of the Väster school area, along with the units in Sövestad and Hedeskoga.

We are now looking for you who want to become part of Svarteskolan and the Väster area, and who, together with the other educators in Svarte, will work to create an after-school center based on care, development, and learning. These elements form a whole in the education provided, stimulating students' learning and development with the aim of creating a meaningful after-school stay.

Job Responsibilities

The job responsibilities include, among other things:

  • As the leader of the after-school center's work team, lead the daily work of the after-school center based on the curriculum and set goals.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate the education in the after-school center.
  • Identify and utilize students' needs, interests, and experiences.
  • Create, develop, and participate in daily practical tasks and routines at the after-school center.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in after-school education. We also consider it meritorious if you have experience in the role and are qualified to teach the subject of art.

You are expected to have good knowledge of the school's steering documents and work based on them naturally. You take responsibility for your own learning, knowing that this is one of the keys to success in making a real difference. Therefore, it is natural for you to follow up and reflect on your own teaching. You have a solution-focused and enthusiastic approach, with good ability to work in teams as well as independently. We value engagement and interest in development issues.

You are solution-focused in your working method by focusing on what works and doing more of it. You see opportunities where others see challenges. You have experience with NPF (Neurodevelopmental conditions) and can lead the work in adapting and developing the learning environment in our after-school center.

You express yourself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing.

Terms of Employment

  • Salary: Monthly salary.
  • Employment type: Permanent position.
  • Duration: Permanent.
  • Working hours: Daytime.
