The Department of Digitalization and Service is responsible for Mid Sweden University's IT, Service Center, Archives and Diarium, as well as media production. The department consists of approximately 50 employees and operates in both Östersund and Sundsvall. Within the department, tasks include technical support, development, operations, information security, telephony, and service center management. The department holds both operational and strategic responsibility in these areas.
The Service and Support Unit is tasked with providing Mid Sweden University's employees, students, and external stakeholders with unified, accessible, and needs-adapted service and support. The unit consists of 11 employees and handles areas such as telephone service, service center, procurement, archives, and diarium.
We are now looking for an employee for our Service Center at Campus Sundsvall.
The Service Center is the contact and service center function at Mid Sweden University, tasked with helping students, visitors, and staff navigate the university and university information, while providing unified, accessible, and needs-adapted service and support. As an employee in the Service Center, you are part of the face of the university, representing Mid Sweden University, and have an important role in providing information and service, as well as contributing to operational development.
The Service Center also handles matters related to employee onboarding and offboarding, profile product management, and administration of key tags for university access, among other things.
Since our Service Center is located at both Campus Sundsvall and Campus Östersund, travel between locations may occur.
Job Responsibilities
At the Service Center, general questions directed at Mid Sweden University are answered. Questions and orders may come from prospective and current students, employees, and visitors. You will work across all channels: telephone, web/email, chat, social media, and in-person reception. Special emphasis is placed on information and guidance regarding study-related matters.
The Service Center also handles the production and distribution of key tags and assignment of permissions, basic IT support, assistance with room booking for external stakeholders, telephony and switchboard service, as well as the sale of profile products, office supplies, and IT accessories.
Your Background
You should have:
- A high school education or equivalent
- Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
- Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions while simultaneously engaging in conversations
- Documented administrative skills
The following qualifications are meritorious:
- Good knowledge of Mid Sweden University's operations and the Swedish education system
- Experience in customer service or similar service roles
- Post-secondary studies, e.g., college or university
- Experience working in multiple IT systems simultaneously
- Additional language skills beyond Swedish and English

Employment and Start Date
The position is a full-time temporary assignment starting from 2026-08-17 or by agreement, ending no later than 2028-02-11.
Work Location: Sundsvall, with travel to Östersund as needed
