Gylle School is Dalarna's largest primary school, a grades F-9 unit with approximately 900 students. The school is located just south of Borlänge city center with good transportation links and a broad catchment area that creates diversity and rich opportunities for learning.

Since April 2025, Gylle School F-6 has had fully completed, new, modern, and well-equipped learning environments – including a sports hall and cafeteria – designed to support varied and future-oriented teaching. Together with our engaged and qualified staff, organized in strong grade-level teams, these facilities create a recipe for success where professionalism, student focus, and good structures meet.

At the F-6 unit, approximately 80 employees work in various roles, all contributing to a secure and learning-oriented environment. We are in an exciting development phase focusing on strengthening students' digital competence while maintaining our profile as a reading school to increase goal fulfillment in all subjects.

Responsibilities

We need to strengthen our teaching team with a teacher for grades 4-6. The position involves mentorship, planning, teaching, evaluation, and assessment, as well as value-based work regarding security and study environment, all based on the Swedish National Curriculum (Lgr22).

All work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues in grade teams and work groups. Frequent contact with guardians, school leadership, and colleagues is an important part of the job, as is occasional contact with other authorities the school collaborates with.

Qualifications

Basic requirements for the position:

• Teacher certification with eligibility to teach in grades F-6 with subject-specific qualifications in combination.
• Very good oral and written skills in Swedish and good skills in English.

Personal qualities:

You have good pedagogical insight and are results-oriented. You base your work on each student's needs and prerequisites. You are a clear leader in the classroom and a positive role model for students. You appreciate developing and improving operations together with your colleagues and solving problems in daily school life. You have good collaboration skills, see the importance of building good relationships, and understand the important role of recess supervision.

Meritorious qualifications:

• Eligibility and experience in other subjects for grades 3-6.
• Experience working as a class teacher in both lower and middle school levels.
• Knowledge and experience in, for example, special education, digital learning resources, language-developing approaches, students in need of special support, other pedagogical training such as NTA, low-affective handling, etc.
• Experience with recess activities/outdoor pedagogy.
• Driver's License Category B.
• Knowledge of other languages.
