The trade union SRAT is now looking for a negotiator who is at the beginning of their career and wants to develop within labor law and collective bargaining. About the position
This position is a direct recruitment, which means that the recruitment process takes place through Bravura and you are employed directly by SRAT. The employment is a permanent position.
About the union
SRAT is a trade union that values commitment, collective agreements, and a good working environment. The union supports its members throughout their working lives, with a special focus on facilitating the transition from studies to professional life. SRAT organizes and represents members within the municipal and regional sector, the state sector, and the private sector. The union consists of member associations that drive their own prioritized issues, have their own communication, and operate through association democracy.
Responsibilities
As a negotiator, you work with supporting and representing the union's elected officials and members within different sectors and agreement areas. You work together with experienced colleagues and will gradually develop within labor law, advisory services, and negotiation.
In this role, you provide support in matters concerning labor law and collective agreements, as well as handle member cases of varying nature. You participate in negotiations at local and central levels and have the opportunity to build experience in union negotiations and party relations. The work involves many contact surfaces and close collaboration with colleagues, professional and industry associations, as well as other organizations and partners.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide advice and support to members and elected officials in labor law matters.
- Participate in negotiations at local and central levels together with experienced colleagues.
- Handle and follow up on member cases of varying nature.
Education, experience, and personal qualities
Requirements:
- University degree in law, human resources management, behavioral science, or similar relevant field.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- An interest in labor law, negotiation, and party relations.
Merits:
- Previous experience working with labor law matters, HR, or union activities.
- Experience from, for example, part-time jobs, internships, or work after studies in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of collective agreements or labor market issues.

You thrive in collaboration with others and have a good ability to build trusting relationships. In this role, you will be part of negotiations where things can change quickly, so we are looking for someone who is flexible and has the ability to handle changes smoothly.
To succeed in this role, we believe you are responsible, unpretentious, and want to develop in a role where you gradually take more independent responsibility. You do not need to have many years of experience, but you have an interest in labor law matters and are motivated by working in an advisory and relationship-building capacity.
