About the role and your responsibilities

The Mother Tongue Centre in Lund offers mother tongue instruction and study guidance in compulsory and upper secondary school, as well as adapted compulsory and upper secondary school. The work involves teaching at several different schools during a working week and travelling between schools within the municipality. The assignment includes planning, implementing, and documenting teaching with students of various ages. The role also involves collaborating with and developing your work together with colleagues at the Mother Tongue Centre. Our vision is to make multilingualism an asset for Lund. The Mother Tongue Centre offers an international workplace with colleagues from all over the world. The workplace is characterized by a good atmosphere and high engagement among staff. We are looking for you

We are looking for you who have teacher education or other pedagogical post-secondary education in the relevant language and/or possibly other subjects. Education in Swedish equivalent to Swedish as a second language at the upper secondary level is required.

The relevant language must be your mother tongue. You need to have knowledge of the Swedish school system and the role of teachers in Sweden, as well as experience in using digital tools and working in various digital systems, e.g., Google environment and Office.

Swedish teacher certification or other pedagogical education in Sweden is meritorious, as is experience of mother tongue teaching or other pedagogical work with children or young people in Sweden.

Studies in the relevant language at the higher education level are also considered meritorious.
