Relief Staff for Personal Assistance – Sollentuna

About the Customer

We are now looking for a reliable, responsible, and empathetic relief staff member for a man living in Sollentuna with his wife and their two children. He lives in an adapted apartment on the first floor. The home is equipped with aids such as a floor lift, wheelchair, shower chair, and a special chair for oral care.

The customer requires 24/7 personal assistance and has extensive care needs. He is bedridden and needs help with all daily activities.

He receives nutrition and fluids via a PEG tube three times a day, along with various medications. The customer also uses a breathing mask and a suction machine to help remove phlegm.

Communication is not verbal, but through facial expressions, eye contact, and body language. Therefore, it is important that you are sensitive, calm, and attentive in your work.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Personal care and hygiene
  • Assistance with transfers using the floor lift
  • Assistance with showering, oral care, shaving, and dressing
  • Management of tube feeding and self-care according to instructions
  • Assistance with medication management
  • Monitoring the customer's well-being and comfort
  • Collaboration with the family and other assistants

During morning routines, double staffing is used to ensure safe and secure care.

Communication and Approach

The customer cannot speak verbally and expresses himself primarily through facial expressions and body language. It is important that you:

  • Are observant and empathetic
  • Communicate calmly and clearly
  • Show patience and respect
  • Can read the customer's needs and feelings through facial expressions and eye contact

About the Position

  • Relief staff as needed
  • Awake night shifts occur
  • Working hours vary between day, evening, and night
  • On-site introduction provided

  • Is calm and confident in stressful situations
  • Experience in personal assistance or healthcare is an advantage

  • Extract from the criminal record register and suspicion register
  • Ability to work with LSS children and adults
