RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to help create a safe, inspiring, and meaningful everyday life for children? Are you an engaged and creative educator who loves building relationships, leading activities, and contributing to children's development? Then you are the leisure teacher we are looking for!

As a leisure teacher at Albanoskolan, you are responsible for creating an inspiring and developmental environment for the students during their time in the leisure program. You work both during school hours as a pedagogical resource in the classroom and after school hours in the leisure center. The role involves actively contributing to the students' social and personal development through structured activities, play, and learning. The work can be both independent and as part of our dedicated team.

The daily work consists of, among other things:

• Planning and conducting meaningful activities that promote students' development and learning in the leisure center.
• Supporting students pedagogically during school hours as a resource in the classroom.
• Creating safety and structure through clear frameworks, low-affective interaction, and good leadership.
• Building good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues to promote cooperation and well-being.
• Contributing to the development of the activity through innovative thinking, initiative-taking, and goal-oriented work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a certified leisure educator who is a confident and clear teacher with a low-affective and attentive approach. You have a natural ability to meet each student based on their needs and create an environment where children feel seen and appreciated. You are relationship-building, structured, and actively contribute to a positive culture in the leisure center and the work team. We value your initiative and solution-focused work style. You thrive in collaboration, are creative in your pedagogy, and see possibilities in every meeting with children, guardians, and your colleagues.

Competency Requirements:

• Educated and qualified leisure educator
• Good knowledge of spoken and written Swedish

Supervisor training is meritorious as we are a partner school tasked with receiving teacher students. Swimming proficiency is also seen as meritorious, as swimming instruction may occur.
