About the role and your responsibilities

As a primary school teacher, you work pedagogically and socially based on the organization's goals and guidelines, as well as current regulatory documents. You are well-versed in the current curriculum and are responsible for the pedagogical content of the teaching, working to promote students' learning and development. Together with the work team, you are responsible for creating a safe environment for the students during the school day.

You plan, conduct, document, and evaluate teaching according to current regulatory documents. You collaborate and develop working methods for joyful learning with high goal achievement for the students. You create a working environment for the students characterized by security, study peace, and trust.

At Delfinskolan F-3, all pedagogical staff work with cooperative learning (CL) in practice. Cooperative learning creates a democratic and inclusive classroom where every student's development and learning are secured. Through structures, interaction models, and interaction processes, all students have a task and must therefore take responsibility. This stimulates focused work, which in turn creates motivation and emotional engagement.

We place great emphasis on making students' development and learning visible, both for the students and for the guardians. We value mutual collaboration with guardians to develop and challenge our students as much as possible according to the education's goals.

We are looking for you

We are looking for you who are a certified primary school teacher for the intended subjects and grades. It is meritorious if you have previous experience of teaching. It is also meritorious if you have taught Swedish as a second language. You have good insight and knowledge of the school's regulatory documents and can apply these pedagogically in your daily work.

You are flexible, team-oriented, and engaged in your work, and dare to try new paths to constantly strive to improve your teaching. You have a holistic perspective on the student's development and plan the teaching to include all students. You have experience of meeting students with different linguistic backgrounds and varying prior knowledge.

In the role of a pedagogue, you are a clear leader, and you actively work to find different ways to create engagement and participation among your students. Your communicative skills are very good, and you have well-functioning relationships with both students and guardians.

You are professional in your professional role and take responsibility for working with continuous improvements. You are comfortable using digital tools in teaching; the tool the students work with is the iPad. As a person, you are proactive, responsible, and solution-focused.

About the workplace

Delfinskolan is a F-3 school with two parallel classes with approximately 170 students located in Norra Fäladen, Lund. The school was inaugurated for the academic year 2019/2020. Next to Delfinskolan is Delfinen Preschool, which allows for stays in the same building from an early age until the student finishes grade 3.

Delfinskolan is a small school where collaboration between pedagogues is high. Collegial learning is a matter of course, where systematic quality work lies as the foundation for the content of the school's development work, where you are involved and influential.
