Ceramics Instructor Wanted!

Medborgarskolan in Varberg is looking for a ceramics instructor for the autumn term 2026 and onwards.

Do you have a passion for ceramics and creativity, and wish to share your knowledge? We are currently seeking dedicated ceramics instructors who want to lead courses with us, starting in the autumn term of 2026.

The courses consist of 10 sessions, each lasting 3 hours, primarily held in the evenings once a week. Other formats, such as daytime or weekend classes, may be available upon agreement with the manager if you have the capacity to take on additional courses.

About the role:

As a ceramics instructor at Medborgarskolan, you will have the opportunity to inspire participants and guide them in their creative process. You will plan and conduct your sessions independently, with support from our organization.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead and teach ceramics courses.
• Prepare inspiring and developmental course sessions.
• Adapt teaching to the group's level and needs.
• Introduce various techniques within ceramics and creative arts.
• Complete participants' works through processes such as glazing and firing.
• Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of the ceramics kiln.
• Clean and maintain order in our ceramics workshop.
• Create a safe, creative, and inclusive environment for participants.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience and good knowledge of ceramics.
• Is engaged, pedagogical, and creative.
• Has experience in teaching or leading groups (advantageous but not required).
• Wants to contribute to adult education and create a meaningful context for our participants.
