Mellbystrandsskolan is a school for grades F-6 with approximately 200 students, of whom 120 are enrolled in our after-school center. We have high competence, including four after-school teachers employed. Mellbystrandsskolan is a school characterized by a good working climate, continuous improvement work, and staff who enjoy their jobs.

We see the entire school as a learning organization, with high expectations and trust in each other, where joint further education, workshops, and collegial learning are important parts.

We have lovely facilities both indoors and outdoors, as well as well-equipped craft rooms that create great opportunities for our students' learning.

About the Position

As a student resource (elevresurs), you work primarily with students in preschool class and in the after-school center. Through a clear, secure, and relational working approach, you contribute to creating a positive learning environment where students can develop as much as possible.

You collaborate closely with teaching teachers and other staff regarding the planning, implementation, and follow-up of teaching both in school and in the after-school center. The position also includes independently taking responsibility for a group of students, together with teachers, and conducting parts of the teaching in preschool class. The position also includes duty as a recess supervisor in various forms, where you are expected, among other things, to lead activities.

Working hours may be scheduled between 06:00 and 17:30, which means that opening and closing the after-school center may be included in the position.

We are looking for an engaged student resource who wants to help create the best conditions for students' learning, development, and security in school and in the after-school center.

As an employee at Mellbystrandsskolan, you are an active part of our teamwork. We work together to create a secure, inclusive, and developmental operation where the students' best interests and learning are always in focus.

At least one year of experience working in school, after-school centers, or preschool is required, and pedagogical education is meritorious. Grades/certification must be attached to the application.

To meet students' needs, special understanding and knowledge of NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) are required, where clear structure, predictability, adapted communication, and preventive work in the moment are important factors. Support is needed both during the school day and in the after-school center, where challenges are often greatest.

The work as a student resource requires good physical fitness as one may need to intervene physically and make quick movements.

Interviews are conducted during the application period and at the beginning of week 30.

About the Employment

Salary range for the position salary setting 2026: Lowest 25,900, Average 30,500, Highest 35,800 SEK/month. Salary is influenced by experience and knowledge.
