Mellbystrandsskolan is a school for grades F-6 (preschool class to grade 6) with approximately 200 students, of whom 120 are enrolled in our after-school center (fritidshem). We have high competence, including four employed after-school teachers. Mellbystrandsskolan is a school characterized by a good working climate, continuous improvement work, and staff who enjoy their jobs.

We view the entire school as a learning organization, with high expectations and trust in each other, where joint further education, workshops, and collegial learning are important parts.

We have wonderful facilities both indoors and outdoors, as well as well-equipped craft rooms that create great opportunities for our students' learning.

About the Position

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in after-school care (fritidshem) with qualifications in art, who wants to work in and develop our operations together with us, an engaged and experienced team. Here, you, together with your colleagues, are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on the after-school center's teaching based on Chapter 4 of the curriculum – LGR 22.

In the after-school center, you work engaged and relationship-building together with the students. Teaching takes place constantly in the after-school center, which you help create within the team.

Your task is to create contexts throughout the student's school day. This may involve planning and leading break-time activities, being a resource in the classroom, or teaching if you have qualifications in a school subject, etc.

You have a teaching license with qualifications for work in after-school care, or equivalent, and attach your license to your application. Subject qualification in art and experience teaching art for grades F–6 are meritorious.

Interviews are conducted continuously during the application period and at the beginning of week 30.

About the Employment

Number of positions: 1

Start date: August 10th or as agreed.

Salary range for position salary setting 2026: Lowest 34,800 SEK/month, Average 42,100 SEK/month, Highest 47,900 SEK/month. Salary is influenced by experience and knowledge.
