Your Responsibilities

We are looking for an engaged teacher in Swedish as a Second Language (SVA) for our adult education (Komvux) operations in Kungsbacka. You will primarily work with students enrolled in our combination programs, where studies in care and social services or child and youth care are combined with Swedish as a Second Language at basic and upper secondary levels, taught in classrooms.

In this role, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching, as well as assessment and grading. You guide students based on their individual study plans and actively work to create conditions for both linguistic and professional development.

An important part of the position is to integrate Swedish language instruction with vocational courses in collaboration with our vocational teachers, creating a clear link between language and professional practice. You will also teach students studying SVA1 and SV1 via our learning platform.

A Development Role Focused on Language and Professional Competence

The position involves not only teaching but also a strategic development assignment. Language and language development are priority issues for our operations, especially given the increasing language requirements within the care and social services sector.

You will be involved in:

  • developing methods that strengthen students' opportunities to meet language requirements for work in healthcare
  • further developing collaboration between Swedish language instruction and vocational subjects
  • creating language-supporting structures for students in our combination programs
  • collaborating with vocational teachers and special education needs coordinators to develop inclusive and language-developing learning environments
  • contributing to the school's long-term work on language, learning, and goal achievement

For those who wish to combine teaching with development work, this position offers a unique opportunity to influence and shape the future of adult education.

  • has a strong commitment to adult learning and language development
  • thrives in collaboration and building relationships with students and colleagues
  • is solution-oriented, proactive, and wants to contribute to the development of the operations

Merits include:

  • teaching certification in Swedish
  • experience in adult education
  • experience teaching in care and social services or child and youth care programs
  • experience with language-developing methods and CEFR levels B1–B2
  • experience with subject-integrated teaching where language and vocational subjects interact
  • experience collaborating with special education needs coordinators or working with extra adaptations and special support

We value employees who are entrepreneurial, curious, and development-oriented. You see opportunities, dare to test new methods, and actively contribute to a business where quality, innovation, and collaboration are in focus.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
