Vesterhavsskolan is a primary school in Falkenberg with approximately 630 students in grades F–9 (preschool class to grade 9).

Vesterhavsskolan is looking for you who are qualified and licensed as a special needs educator (specialpedagog). You should be an engaging leader who has high expectations for your students, as well as a team player interested in contributing to the creation of excellent education and school environment. Planning, implementation, and assessment/evaluation are our core elements.

We want the pedagogical quality work to be based on the learning process, i.e., the actual teaching.

We believe that all students can and want to learn, and that the path to knowledge largely goes through the classroom. We also believe that the teacher is the most important factor for a student's success in school.

You will be part of the school's combined student health team. Your responsibilities will be both remedial and preventive/promotional. The position targets the lower secondary school level (grades 7–9), focusing on supporting both students in need of special support and teachers in their work with pedagogical strategies. Further clarification of duties will be discussed during the interview.

We look for someone with genuine commitment and interest in student-centered work regarding students in need of special support. You will work in parallel with special teachers and other professions within the student health team, as well as other educators.

We are seeking an employee to start for the academic year 2026/2027, or alternatively as agreed. The position is full-time (100%).
