The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest administrations with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation – preschool, primary school, and child/student health services – we are here for children and students – together we shape the future.

Bosgårdsskolan is one of Varberg's largest primary schools, located in Tvååker where society meets nature. Here, approximately 580 students and 80 employees meet every day.

Currently, we are in a renewal phase as Bosgårdsskolan is facing a comprehensive renovation. Therefore, our operations are currently spread across premises in both Tvååker and central Varberg. We continue to drive our pedagogical development with the same high ambition while we wait to return to our new premises.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher with us, you play a central role in creating a safe, developmental, and motivating environment where we together create the best possible meeting for learning. By planning, implementing, and following up on your teaching, you provide students with the prerequisites to grow based on their unique needs and goals.

Main responsibilities:

• Teaching in grades 2-6 in Swedish as a Second Language (SSL) and Visual Arts.
• Plan, lead, and evaluate teaching based on steering documents and selected didactic strategies.
• Meet each student in their knowledge progression and strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-confidence through professional leadership.
• Develop stimulating learning environments that encourage learning, participation, and student influence.
• Work for a holistic view of the student's school day through close cooperation with colleagues and guardians.
• Actively participate in the school's systematic quality work and contribute to a formative approach in pedagogical daily life.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a confident pedagogical leader who, with warmth and clarity, provides guidance and creates the structure required for a safe learning environment. For you, collaboration with colleagues is a prerequisite for success; you cooperate without hierarchy to develop the operations together with others.

You are skilled at building relationships and create trusting contacts with both students and guardians. You have a good feel for the group, are flexible, have didactic ability, and adapt your methods based on students' different needs, knowledge progression, and daily condition.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has teacher certification with eligibility for teaching grades 2-6 in Swedish as a Second Language (SSL) and Visual Arts.
• Has the ability to base your teaching on proven experience and scientific foundation.
• Shows skill in planning and following up on operations systematically based on given frameworks.
• Has good assessment ability to follow up on students' development and give constructive feedback.
• Possesses clear planning ability to structure lessons and work areas.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 11 days - 3 months, start date: 2026-08-10. Start date according to agreement, end date: 2026-09-30.
Possibility of extension may exist.
