The adult education in Laholm is located within the education administration. We offer courses at the basic and upper secondary level, including Komvux (adult education), adapted education, Swedish for Immigrants, as well as vocational training and apprenticeships at the upper secondary level. We work extensively with an entrepreneurial approach and ensure that employees are involved in driving the development and design of our vocational training programs.

We have close cooperation with the upper secondary school, study and career counselors, and administration, where we assist each other in daily work.

We also offer various commissioned training courses in close collaboration with the municipality's various operations and Laholm's business community.

About the Position

You will teach subjects within the Care and Nursing Program at the adult education center and are responsible for the planning, implementation, and follow-up of the education, including APL (workplace-based learning) and validation. The teaching is based on adult students' different experiences, life situations, and prerequisites, and is adapted to create good opportunities for learning and professional development.

The assignment includes assessment and documentation of students' knowledge according to current regulatory documents.

You work in a team together with two other vocational teachers within care and nursing, where you jointly plan, develop, and ensure the quality of the education.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with study and career counselors, administrators, school management, as well as the municipality's and region's operations.

Are You the One We Are Looking For?

We are primarily looking for you who have a vocational teacher degree and eligibility to teach on the Care and Nursing Program, or equivalent education combined with pedagogical experience.

Having several years of background as a nursing assistant (undersköterska) or nurse (sjuksköterska) is a requirement for the position.

It is meritorious if you have training as an CPR instructor, experience with validation, as well as adult pedagogical competence and a good understanding of the mission of adult education. If you have worked as an education coordinator where you coordinated educational efforts, this is a merit. Experience of line management or other forms of leadership is also seen as an advantage.

A driver's license is a requirement for the position, and you should be accustomed to working in digital environments and learning platforms.

Start date: As soon as possible, according to agreement

Employment type: Vacation replacement position (Semestertjänst)

Salary range: 36,700 SEK – 46,000 SEK/month (Average 42,800 SEK/month). The salary is influenced by experience and knowledge.
