The Preschool and Primary Education Department is one of Varberg Municipality's largest departments, with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation—preschools, primary schools, and child/student health services—we are here for children and students. Together, we shape the future.

Vidhöge School is located in Veddige, approximately 2 miles northeast of Varberg town center. The school accommodates 650 students in grades Pre-K to 9. The school offers a varied outdoor environment and proximity to natural areas. RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher with us, you play a central role in creating a safe, developmental, and motivating environment where we together create the best possible conditions for learning. By planning, implementing, and following up on your teaching, you provide students with the prerequisites to grow based on their unique needs and goals.

Main responsibilities:

• Teaching in grades Pre-K to 3 in all subjects, including physical education.
• Plan, lead, and evaluate teaching based on regulatory documents and chosen didactic strategies.
• Meet each student in their knowledge progression and strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through professional leadership.
• Develop stimulating learning environments that encourage learning, participation, and student influence.
• Promote a holistic view of the student's school day through close collaboration with colleagues and guardians.
• Actively participate in the school's systematic quality work and contribute to a formative approach in the pedagogical everyday life.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a confident pedagogical leader who provides guidance with warmth and clarity and creates the structure required for a safe learning environment. Collaboration with colleagues is a prerequisite for success for you; you collaborate without ego to develop the operations together with others.

You are skilled at building relationships and create trusting contacts with both students and guardians. You have a good feel for the group, are flexible, have didactic skills, and adapt your methods based on students' different needs, knowledge progression, and daily mood.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has teacher certification with eligibility to teach in all subjects for grades Pre-K to 3, preferably with physical education.
• Has the ability to base your teaching on proven experience and scientific grounds.
• Demonstrates skill in planning and systematically following up on operations based on given frameworks.
• Has good assessment skills to follow up on students' development and give constructive feedback.
• Has clear planning skills to structure lessons and work areas.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: Start date 2026-08-10. Start date by agreement, ends 2027-06-15.
