The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest administrations with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation – preschool, primary school, and child/student health services – we are here for children and students – together we shape the future.

Bosgårdsskolan is one of Varberg's largest primary schools, located in Tvååker where society meets nature. Here, approximately 580 students and 80 employees meet every day.

Currently, we are in a renewal phase as Bosgårdsskolan is facing a major renovation. Therefore, our operations are currently spread across premises in both Tvååker and central Varberg. We continue to drive our pedagogical development with the same high ambition while we wait to return to our new premises.

The workplace will be at Centralskolan in Tvååker (Bosgårdsskolan) for the next two years because the regular school is under construction. In two years, you will be part of a fresh start at a large new F-9 school.

Responsibilities

Motivating and inspiring students is your greatest driving force. As a teacher in the school age educare (fritidshem) with us, you have a central role in creating a safe, developmental, and motivating environment for the students where we create the best possible meeting for learning. Together with your colleagues, you shape a relational leadership where the quality of teaching is in focus. By planning, implementing, and following up on your varied teaching, you give students the opportunity to develop both socially and academically. You work to strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through play, creation, and movement.

Examples of tasks:

• Shape teaching based on scientific ground and proven experience.
• Be responsible for clear leadership that promotes students' learning, participation, and influence.
• Plan and follow up on teaching in the school age educare based on your choice of pedagogical and didactic strategies, adapted to the students' needs.
• Meet each student in their knowledge progression and contribute to developing accessible learning environments.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a red thread in students' learning throughout the school day.
• Take responsibility for being a good role model and contribute to an organization for planning and evaluating teaching.

Qualifications

As a teacher in the school age educare, you are engaged and have a formative approach with the ability to create motivating and activating teaching. Your teaching is based on proven experience and scientific ground with an exploratory approach. You thrive in collaboration with colleagues and actively contribute to developing the operations by planning and following up on teaching together. You have good structure in your work and can adapt teaching based on students' needs and the school's goals. Together, we are responsible for creating a sustainable work environment where both students and staff feel good, can grow, and develop. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

To succeed in the assignment, you have:

• Teacher certification with eligibility for teaching in school age educare.
• A holistic view of learning and teaching where you see the opportunities in supporting students' development throughout the school day.
• Good assessment skills to follow up on students' development and give constructive feedback.
• Clear planning skills to structure lessons and work areas in an overviewable way.
• Good didactic skills to translate the purpose of the curriculum into practical operations.
• Good collaboration skills and a relationship-building approach.

Salary: Monthly salary.
