The Department of Education and Labour Market is currently seeking a Care Teacher for Kommunvux. Our mission is to increase individuals' opportunities to find employment and become self-sufficient through education, internships, and work.

The Adult Education program offers courses and training in various ways based on individual needs. This includes upper secondary adult education, Swedish for Immigrants (SFI), special education for adults, vocational training, university college vocational programs, and learning center activities.

Your Responsibilities

As a Care Teacher at Kommunvux, you will educate the future workforce within healthcare and social care. You will plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching, as well as be responsible for assessment and grading according to current guidelines.

Teaching is conducted in several different study formats, including school-based teaching, combined education, flexible studies, and validation, supported by our digital learning platform.

You will become part of a dedicated team where you will jointly develop the education and collaborate closely with employers within municipal, regional, and private healthcare and social care. A key part of the role is to follow students' learning in the workplace through work-based learning (APL), and to collaborate with supervisors and employers to create good conditions for the students' development.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a vocational teacher's degree with a focus on healthcare and social care, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have at least 90 higher education credits within healthcare and social care and broad professional experience from the field. A B-class driver's license is required as the position involves visits to workplaces.

It is meritorious if you have experience of teaching within adult education, validation, or combined education.

As a person, you are engaged and see every student's potential for development. You adapt your teaching to different needs and conditions and have an inclusive and professional approach. You work in a structured manner, take responsibility for your assignment, and drive your work forward with a focus on quality and results.

You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working together with colleagues, students, and operations within healthcare and social care. Through your communication style and ability to build trusting relationships, you contribute to a positive learning environment and to the development of the education.

The extract is free to order but may take up to 2–3 weeks for the Police to process. We therefore recommend that you order the extract well in advance.

Before employment begins, you need to show that you have the right to work, as required by the Aliens Ordinance. You do this by proving your citizenship within the EU/EEA or Switzerland with a passport, national ID card, or personal certificate together with an identity document. If you cannot do this, you need to present a work permit or show that you are exempt from the requirement for a work permit.

The position will be filled subject to necessary decisions being made.
