Job Description

We are looking for you who want to work part-time as a student assistant at Hjortsberg Special School. At special schools, students have intellectual disabilities. Here, we work to ensure our students receive an adapted schooling experience that meets their needs and challenges. Our goal is for our students to have a secure school day where they have the opportunity to develop their independence and reach as far as possible in their knowledge development.

With us, you need to be inventive, flexible, and open to trying new things, all to find our students' motivation and joy in schoolwork. Teaching is planned by teachers, but both student assistants and teachers support the student in their learning.

The position is structured to provide support in three different classes, three days a week, as well as working at the leisure center in the afternoons.

Qualifications

We are looking for a student assistant who is:

• Experienced in working in teams
• Self-reliant and organized
• Flexible and solution-oriented
• Physically active (able to participate in play, movement, swimming, cycling, etc.)
• Receptive and humble
• Interested in clarifying pedagogy and various forms of communication support
• Experienced in low-arousal approaches
• Comfortable using digital tools

Experience working with children and young people with various forms of neurodevelopmental disorders (ND), or alternatively, experience with the Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS).

You must have the ability to treat students calmly, even in stressful situations.

Hours: 50-60%
