At Kilåmon Nursery, just outside Näsåker, the operations are constantly evolving. We cultivate approximately 40 million forest seedlings annually. We are now looking for a Production Manager for our production and maintenance work who wants to contribute to the forests of the future. Over the past few years, the nursery has made significant investments in our production, and now we are ready to take the next step together to maximize the potential of these investments.
The operations at the nursery take place in an industrial environment with production lines that perform most of the tasks. Since we work with the cultivation of forest seedlings, we operate within limited time windows, with varying tasks that follow the seasons. A key success factor is that our staff enjoys working here, feels well, and is engaged. We place great emphasis on creating a pleasant working environment. We are a modern workplace where the practical working environment is a priority, as is cooperation among colleagues.
What We Offer
Working at Sveaskog means having great freedom, while also expecting you to take responsibility, show courage, and be curious. Everyone is expected to take responsibility for their own and the company's development, be team-oriented, and a good colleague. We call this active employee engagement. We offer attractive benefits and a workplace characterized by a desire for your success, where equality and sustainable working life are high on the agenda. Sveaskog strives for diversity and a balanced gender distribution across all professions in the company.
Your Tasks and Competencies
Your tasks involve planning and leading the nursery's production and maintenance work. As a Production Manager, you play a key role in supervising and coaching the staff. Your mission is to develop and improve production and maintenance efficiency, ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with overarching policies, laws, and regulations. You are responsible for our production monitoring system and for further developing our work with operator maintenance and preventive maintenance. We have worked extensively with our working environment and structure in recent years, so continuing to drive this work forward must be a natural part of your role to thrive with us.
You and your team are a crucial part of ensuring the nursery delivers good results and continues to develop. The daily life of a Production Manager is a combination of practical and theoretical work. You lead your employees in daily matters while also being part of the nursery's management group, where we work together on strategic issues to constantly improve tomorrow's cultivation and production environment.
The work is largely autonomous, and as a leader, I appreciate it if you are self-motivated, thorough, and have good initiative. A large part of your workday will be spent out in the operations. You understand the importance of staying several steps ahead to ensure everything runs smoothly. Together with your employees, you build curiosity and courage to develop our operations. Previous personnel management experience and experience from industrial operations are meritorious, as is experience with preventive maintenance. We would like you to have good computer skills with experience of various systems, as well as education/experience oriented towards industry.
You will be part of the nursery's management group, and your manager will be Sven-Erik Zimmer, Site Manager. The position is primarily a day shift role, but shifted working hours may occur. You will be an important part of Sveaskog's vision and will have personnel responsibility and working environment responsibility for production staff as well as our maintenance technicians.
The position is a permanent employment, with a probationary period possible.
A Category B driver's license is required, and experience in forest seedling cultivation is meritorious.
Does this sound like something for you? Perfect – Apply!
