Your future challenge

BAE Systems Hägglunds in Örnsköldsvik is currently in an expansion phase due to billion-dollar contracts. To meet the high demand, BAE Systems Hägglunds is recruiting a Coordinating Tool Designer.

In the role of Coordinating Tool Designer, you will work on designing special tools for our military vehicles. You will manage the entire chain from idea to production, which takes place internally with other departments or together with our suppliers.

The responsibilities include:

• Ideation and development of concepts for special tools
• Further development of existing tools and support solutions
• Design in CATIA, material and component selection
• Ordering calculations and tests
• Technical specification of purchased systems
• Production of drawings
• Documentation
• Article maintenance and structural management of article data
• Coordination of orders and requests for quotes for tools

The work is performed in a project format. You will work in close collaboration with, among others, production and design.

Who you are

We are looking for someone with a genuine technical interest and a creative mindset.

As a person, you are structured and detail-oriented. You have strong self-drive and take responsibility for your deliverables.

The work is independent, but since there are many contact points, it is also important that you are team-oriented and have good communication skills in both speech and writing.

We believe you have an education as a University Engineer in Mechanical Engineering, or alternatively, have acquired equivalent knowledge in other ways. Good knowledge of Swedish and English is required as we operate in an international environment.

You have experience in mechanical design and are familiar with 3D modeling tools. Experience with CATIA V5 is a plus.
