Are you passionate about international cooperation, voluntary engagement, and creating opportunities for young people to meet across borders? Scouterna is now looking for a dedicated International Secretary who wants to contribute to our international work and strengthen our relationships globally.
About the roleAs International Secretary, you hold a key position where you coordinate and develop both the strategic and operational international work. You work closely with both volunteers and employees, creating conditions for scouts to participate in international contexts, while contributing to the development of long-term structures and collaborations with our international partners and organizations.
In your daily work, you lead and support the voluntary International Group together with a voluntary chairperson, plan and conduct meetings and working weekends, and coordinate projects and activities within areas such as Erasmus+. You are responsible for administration, budgeting, and follow-up, ensuring that Scouterna is represented in international forums and conferences. You serve as the contact person for international matters, handling everything from reporting to communication and relationship building. The role involves close collaboration with voluntary forces at the national level and includes some evening and weekend work as well as travel within Sweden and internationally. We are looking for someone who has:
Education relevant to the position at least at the upper secondary level or equivalent.
Experience in coordinating and/or project management.
Experience with budgeting and financial follow-up.
Experience from scouting activities; voluntary engagement at national and international levels is an advantage.
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Experience in collaboration and/or event planning in international contexts is an advantage.

ConditionsThe position is a permanent full-time employment with a desired start date of August 17, 2026. We have a six-month probation period and work with goal-oriented working hours. The position is located in Stockholm at our office in Örnsberg, where we expect you to be on-site approximately three days a week.
The role involves close collaboration with volunteers at the national level, which entails work on evenings and weekends as well as some travel both within Sweden and internationally. Approximately, this involves at least one evening per week and 2–3 working weekends per term.
