At Munkhätteskolan, you will work in a teaching team where you together meet the students' needs and share joint responsibility for the instruction. You will be responsible for mathematics and technology instruction across several grade levels, but you will also teach Natural Sciences. Part of the role involves providing support to students in the classroom to optimize their knowledge development. You will belong to a teaching team in a specific grade and serve as a mentor for students in one of the classes, together with another colleague.

As a teacher at Munkhätteskolan, we expect you to:

  • Be able to build good relationships through curiosity and trust towards students and colleagues, have high expectations and confidence in students' abilities, and provide encouraging and supportive interactions.
  • Develop your teaching through active learning together with colleagues, sharing your experiences and supporting and developing everyone's teaching through a pedagogically challenging approach.
  • Provide diverse teaching with variations in methods, challenges, and adaptations based on each student's prerequisites, with a strong connection to students' experiences and curiosity. You should be able to demonstrate clear links between your teaching strategies and your students' results.
  • Incorporate student influence in your teaching in a way that allows students to develop and own their learning process, providing feedback that moves the student forward in their learning. All teaching should aim at each individual student's progression and results.
  • Be able to create a safe and permissive climate in the classroom through clear structure.
  • Work to develop teaching so that it is based on scientific grounds and proven experience.

Qualifications

You who apply are a certified teacher with qualifications for teaching grades 7–9 in Mathematics, Technology, and Natural Sciences. If you have previous experience working as a teacher or are also qualified in mathematics, we consider this a merit. You have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing. You have a good understanding of and knowledge about the school's governing documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills and can therefore lead and organize your work to create study peace and a good learning environment for our students throughout their school day.

Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work and, with good familiarity and practice, work efficiently with relevant digital tools. As a person, you have good pedagogical ability and understanding of people's different prerequisites for absorbing knowledge. You have the ability to see the big picture, view issues from a larger perspective, and see opportunities in change. Additionally, you have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a listening and flexible manner.

We welcome your application!
