About the Workplace

We are now looking for a new colleague to join our Assistance Unit. We are looking for you who are interested in working with authority exercises within the Health and Care Administration and are interested in working within a municipal organization.

Within the Assistance Unit, cases are handled under the Social Services Act, as well as transport assistance and national transport assistance, based on current legislation. The unit consists of a team leader, six SoL assistance case officers, one transport assistance case officer, two fee case officers, one economic administrator, and the unit is led by a unit manager.

Your Responsibilities

As an assistance case officer, you work with elderly people and persons with disabilities from the age of 18. Your main tasks are to investigate and assess individuals' needs for interventions from social services based on applications and reports, as well as follow up on approved interventions.

The work includes, among other things, collaboration with internal and external partners, home visits, and discharge planning from inpatient care. You will be responsible for your own cases, according to our case division. We map needs according to IBIC and use the business system Pulsen Combine.

At the unit, we also investigate and assess the need for transport assistance and national transport assistance, so such tasks may occasionally occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in social work or an equivalent university degree that the employer deems suitable. You understand the importance of legally secure and efficient case handling, with assurance of the individual's right to reasonable living conditions, of course taking into account self-determination and privacy from the user's perspective.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and assume that you collaborate well with others, both relatives, providers, and colleagues. You have a respectful approach with a focus on motivating the individual to interventions and own activities. You have good analytical skills, are concerned with legal security, and are good at expressing yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. As a person, you enjoy working independently and in a group, are structured, and have a solution-focused approach.

Meritorious if you have experience within authority exercises in elderly care for at least one year.

Håbo Municipality is a Finnish-speaking administrative area, so it is meritorious if you can speak Finnish.
