The Workplace
The Individual and Family Care in Nordmaling Municipality consists of 35 employees and has been responsible for operations in Bjurholm Municipality since January 2024. The operations are divided into five operational areas (VO): Children, Youth & Family, Adults, Open Care, Support & Care, and Management & Support.
We work based on our quality and management system "The House," which is built on science and proven experience. Our operations are characterized by a strengths-based approach where we focus on people's inherent resources and abilities. Through shared decision-making, we create conditions for clients to be active co-creators in their own change process.
We are now looking for two social secretaries within the Support & Care area. The area currently consists of 7 social secretaries – 4 working with elderly assistance, 2 working with LSS case management, and 1 housing adapter. The group is led with close support from a group leader and a operations manager.
The Role and Responsibilities
As a social secretary within Elderly Assistance in Nordmaling and Bjurholm, you will play a crucial role in supporting our elderly citizens and ensuring they receive the help and services they need to live a dignified and independent life.
Your responsibilities include investigating, assessing, and making decisions on interventions according to the Social Services Act. You will primarily be a social secretary for the elderly and will investigate the individual's need for, for example, home care and special housing. The work also includes following up and reviewing previously made decisions. The work involves cooperation both within the group and with other professional roles and collaborating partners. You work from a holistic view of the person and meet the individual with the starting point of strengthening their own ability.
Your Profile
The requirements for you to work as a Social Secretary are that you have a social work degree or other equivalent higher education, as well as a B-driver's license since travel is part of the job. You should also have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both in speech and writing.
Meritorious is if you have experience in authority practice.
