About the position
We are now looking for more hourly substitutes who can work extra as needed for our client, a person in their 20s living in Ursviken!
The work is located both in the client's home and at their day activity center. During the summer, daily life looks a bit different; since the client is on leave from their day activity, a lot of time is spent at the summer cottage, which is located approximately 130 km from Ursviken.
This means that travel is part of the job, primarily during the summer months, when you, as an assistant, accompany the client to the cottage to enable a wonderful vacation.
Personal assistance is a service under the LSS Act (Support and Service Act for Certain Disability Groups). In your role as a personal assistant, you will mainly help the client with everything that arises in daily life as well as with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributing to a smooth daily routine. Each assistance assignment is uniquely adapted to the client's life, so tasks may vary depending on the workplace.
Who are you?
The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good chemistry between you and the client.
The position requires that you have:
A valid Category B driver's license and access to your own car. This is a requirement for commuting to and from work, as well as for participating in trips to the summer cottage.
Good knowledge of Swedish
Non-smoker (during working hours)
The position is meritorious if you:
Have experience in similar work
Have experience with breathing assistance and tube feeding
Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
Working hours, degree of employment, and salary
We are now looking for more personal assistants for hourly employment (as needed). As an hourly substitute, you work extra to cover for regular staff during sickness, leave, or vacation periods.
Since you cover as needed, both your working hours and degree of employment will vary. Shifts are scheduled for days, evenings, and awake nights, both on weekdays and weekends.
The need for extra staff is particularly high during the summer period (weeks 25–33), and especially during weeks 28–31 when the client is on leave from their day activity and is home full-time. For the right person, there are good opportunities for continued hourly substitution even after the summer.
Since the client has double assistance, you will almost always work together with a colleague in a team, which provides a secure and supportive work environment. The exception is when you accompany the client to their day activity, where you work independently.
The current form of employment for this role is "hourly employment". Before you start working independently, you will undergo a paid introduction/orientation so that you feel completely secure with the client and your daily routines.
Fixed hourly rate according to agreement and other benefits are paid according to the collective agreement.
