Authority exercise constitutes the gateway for citizens to receive needs-assessed interventions within Support and Care, and we work on delegation from the Individual and Family Board. Our mission is to inform and meet with citizens, and based on applications or reports, to investigate, assess needs, and decide on interventions for persons in need of social services support and help. The mission shall be based on the Board's goal to strengthen the individual's opportunity to live an independent life.

We have an overarching responsibility to draw up forecasts and identify new needs for interventions by following the development of needs and inflow in the municipality. This serves as a basis for planning and development, both in the short and long term. The legislation primarily affected in our unit is the Social Services Act, but we collaborate closely with colleagues who make decisions according to the LSS (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). We collaborate closely with other colleagues in other units and operations with the aim of meeting users' needs and achieving the goal of increased independence. From October, we also have a task to staff the social emergency service together with colleagues from other units within authority exercise.

We are now looking for a Social Secretary for SoL (Social Services Act) under the age of 65!

Your responsibilities

As a social secretary within SoL, you will:

• Receive applications and reports, and carry out investigations, assessments, and decisions according to current legislation.
• Follow up on decisions and interventions, and handle any appeals in court.
• Give advice and support to people in vulnerable life situations and motivate change based on their individual needs.
• Collaborate with both internal colleagues and external partners to ensure a holistic and legally secure handling.
• Participate in the development of operations to contribute to quality improvement and more efficient processes.
• If necessary, the assignment may include some service in the social emergency service.

About you

In the role, we often meet people in vulnerable situations, which requires that you are secure and stable. You take initiative, work independently, and can be flexible when conditions change quickly. We are looking for you who want to contribute to the development of the operation and a good working environment, who collaborates well and has the ability to see both the individual's needs and the bigger picture. Since collaboration between our units is central, you see this as a natural part of your work. Your personal suitability is very important to us.

Requirements

• Social Work degree (Social Worker).
• Experience in social work within authority exercise.
• Work experience in meeting people with disabilities, mental health issues, and homelessness.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.
• Category B driver's license.

Merits

• Education in MI (Motivational Interviewing) or further education in the area.
• Experience in meeting people with substance abuse, exposure to violence, and children through conversation.

Smoking and fur animals may occur during home visits, so you should not be allergic.

As a result of the Law on Suitability Control, a certificate of no criminal record from the police must be presented upon employment.
