We are now looking for an engaged and positive personal assistant for a 41-year-old client in Umeå.
The position is available from July 1st.
The client has been wheelchair-bound since 2002 following an accident. He is paralyzed from the chest down and has reduced function in his arms and hands. He needs support in his daily life, including personal care and hygiene.
He is a cheerful, friendly, and humorous person who enjoys an active lifestyle. He has a great interest in sports and trains regularly. In his spare time, he enjoys:
- Being outdoors, especially during the summer
- Taking walks in his wheelchair, cycling, or spending time by the water
- Going downtown, shopping, and eating good food
- Going to the cinema and watching sports – both at home and live
As a personal assistant, you will:
- Support with daily tasks
- Help with personal hygiene
- Be a social support and contribute to an active life
- Encourage activities and participation
- Are cheerful, responsible, and perceptive
- Enjoy working closely with another person
- Share an interest in an active lifestyle
- Are not allergic to cats (as there is a cat in the home)
- Have a driver's license (required)
The work includes:
- Days, evenings, and weekends
- On-call duty at night
