The South Primary Care area consists of the health centers in Tegs, Hörnefors, and Nordmaling. This position is based at the Nordmaling Health Center.

Job Responsibilities

As a counselor with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better.

You work with psychosocial treatment both individually and in groups. You assess, investigate, and treat mild to moderate mental health issues in children, young people, and adults. You work individually with assessments and treatment interventions, but you also work in teams around the patient together with other professions at the health center and within the base unit, as well as collaborating with other operations. With the help of clinical assessments and rating instruments, you propose suitable measures. Based on the assessment, you plan and carry out psychological treatment, both individually and in groups, using evidence-based psychological and psychotherapeutic treatment methods.

Your duties also include acting as a link between the individual, healthcare, and various authorities. You have knowledge of socio-legal issues as well as societal resources and assist patients in understanding laws and regulations, as well as helping with, for example, appeals of decisions. You keep up to date in the socio-legal field and provide information and guidance to your colleagues within the area of competence.

Qualifications

You have a degree in social work or equivalent education and are a licensed health and social care counselor. You also have further education in psychotherapy, equivalent to step 1.

Experience in clinical treatment work within psychological and psychosocial issues is meritorious.
