Description

We are looking for a Personal Assistant for a fixed-term position covering parental leave. The employment level is 70%. Start date is negotiable.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Personal Assistant for a young man. He is 24 years old and lives in his own apartment together with personal assistants.

The young man has severe autism and a moderate to severe intellectual disability. He also has epilepsy and extreme sound sensitivity. As staff, you will assist him with support in all daily activities. He communicates using single words and two-word sentences, and can write a few words.

He attends his day center during daytime hours; the rest of the time he spends at home with you. You will work evenings, nights, and weekends. When he is off from the day center or on leave, you will work with him at home.

Qualifications

We prefer candidates with education as a Personal Assistant, Nurse Assistant, Childcare Worker, or equivalent. A valid driver's license is required.

Experience working with disabilities and knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) is a plus.

Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities. You should be humble, responsive, calm, self-assured, and flexible in your approach.

Conditions

A police certificate (extract from the criminal record) is required prior to employment.
