Skogsbo School is a primary school (grades F-6) with approximately 450 students. The school is located just outside central Avesta. At the school, we actively work to create good conditions for learning by offering a safe learning environment and high-quality teaching, both in school and at the after-school center. We are a partner school with Dalarna University, which means we host teacher education students every semester, contributing to our scientific foundation and the development of our operations.

All teaching at the school should be permeated by our three key words: learning, safety, and togetherness, to give all students the opportunity to develop as far as possible based on their prerequisites.

We are looking for you who have the ability to lead and motivate students and create a safe and educational classroom environment with engaged and involved students. Your leadership is characterized by clarity and structure. For the work to be successful, you need to have good collaboration skills and be relationship-building, as good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues are fundamental to the work.

You need to have the ability to adapt your teaching based on results, evaluations, and the individual student's needs. To achieve this, you need to have a good understanding of how different students absorb knowledge and the ability to adapt your teaching method at both group and individual levels.

The duties presuppose that you possess personal maturity and the ability to distinguish between the personal and the professional. You also need to be stable and controlled in stressful or pressured situations, as well as flexible and adaptable to changed circumstances. You understand the importance of working towards the school's overarching goals and following established routines, guidelines, and decisions, and working for the benefit of the operations. Your ability to express yourself in Swedish, both written and oral, is good.

Teacher certification for grades 4-6 and experience teaching in grades 4-6 are required for employment. Employment with other pedagogical education may be considered, but not as a permanent position.

Duties:

This position involves shared mentorship and teaching in grade 4 in mathematics and Natural Sciences (NO), as well as potentially other subjects based on qualifications. Teaching takes place both as a solo teacher and in a co-teaching arrangement with a colleague. You belong to a work team and are given the opportunity for collegial development in subject groups.

You strive to create a classroom situation where all students can succeed based on their prerequisites. In consultation with the student health team, you also work to ensure that relevant measures are implemented for students in need of additional support. You are responsible for creating and maintaining good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.

You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in accordance with the Swedish National Curriculum for Compulsory School, Preschool Class and the After-School Centre (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You are also responsible for collaborating with colleagues, students, guardians, and other relevant actors to create a safe and developmental environment for the students.

An important part of the work is to systematically follow the students' knowledge development. You work according to current routines for individual development plans and written assessments.

Other occasional duties:

• Recess supervision
