The Security Protection business area has the main responsibility for the Swedish Security Service's mission to assess and reduce vulnerabilities in operations that are significant for Sweden's security or are subject to international security protection commitments. The work is governed by legislation such as the Security Protection Act, the Security Protection Ordinance, and the Swedish Security Service's regulations on security protection.

The business area also represents the Swedish Security Service in the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), whose mission is to strengthen Sweden's ability to prevent, detect, and handle cyber threats. More information about NCSC can be found at www.ncsc.se (https://www.ncsc.se).

In the role of Information Security Officer, you work with providing guidance and advice to operators subject to security protection regulations. You handle consultations prior to the commissioning of information systems, as well as incoming tips and reports of security-threatening incidents within the field of information security. You also contribute to the Swedish Security Service's work within NCSC, including the agency-common work on incident coordination and the creation of national situational pictures.

A prerequisite for success in your role is the ability to collaborate closely with both internal and external parties, as well as the ability to ensure that this collaboration is maintained and developed. You follow the processes and methods that have been developed and contribute to developing these when necessary. The role offers good opportunities for you to develop within the field of information security.

Your placement is at the headquarters in Solna, and the work is performed on-site, which means you do not have the option to work remotely. Travel within and outside of Sweden may occur.

These are the qualifications we are looking for in you

Only those who meet the requirements below can be considered for the position.

Requirements:

• An academic degree or police degree, or alternatively other education or experience that the Swedish Security Service assesses as equivalent and relevant for the position.
• At least two years of experience, within the last five years, in information security work.
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English.

You who apply may also have competencies that add breadth and complementary perspectives. If you can contribute with one or more of the following, it is meritorious:

• Education or work experience within security protection.
• Experience in producing steering documents, procedures, or similar.
• Experience with NATO regulations.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish Security Service's operations.
• Basic knowledge of current laws and regulations within information security.

The employment requires Swedish citizenship.

Terms of employment and benefits

Employment at the Swedish Security Service involves placement in a security class that requires Swedish citizenship. For employment, a passed result in the security investigation with registry check is also required, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act.

This is a permanent position starting with a six-month probationary period. We apply individual salary setting. The employment includes an obligation to be war-placed.
