We are now looking for several engaged and driven nursing assistants to join our department!

Department C3 Stroke and Geriatrics is a care ward with fifteen regular care beds: ten for stroke and general neurology, and five for geriatrics. The focus is on acute stroke care and post-stroke rehabilitation, as well as care and rehabilitation for geriatric patients. In addition, we care for patients with neurological diseases and injuries.

We are a dedicated work group that works together with a focus on person-centered care and a rehabilitative approach, as well as a strong desire to develop. We share premises with the medical department and have close cooperation, helping each other when needed.

Teamwork is central on the ward. The team consists of nursing assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, and doctors, as well as speech therapists, social workers, and dietitians. Every week, the ward holds a joint TEAM round where we plan and evaluate care for our rehabilitation patients. As a nursing assistant, you work daily in a team with nurses and fellow nursing assistants, sharing care responsibility for five patients during the day and seven to eight patients in the evening.

Your responsibilities

Based on research and proven experience, you plan, implement, and evaluate care together with the nurse and are an important part of the patients' rehabilitation. In the multidisciplinary team, you are active and support patients and relatives during their stay on the ward. You contribute with your knowledge and are a vital part of the team in your close-to-patient role. The assignment includes supervising students and introducing new colleagues. You have your own or shared area of responsibility with another colleague.

Who are you?

You are a trained nursing assistant with an interest in stroke, geriatrics, neurology, and rehabilitation. Experience in stroke care and care of patients with neurological, geriatric, or rehabilitation needs is an advantage.

You are curious, positive, and wish to develop in your professional role, as well as actively participate in the development of the operations. You appreciate being part of a team while feeling secure working independently. The job requires your ability to plan and prioritize your tasks, even in situations where you need to adapt quickly.

You communicate well and are clear in both your communication and your approach. You are solution-focused and flexible by nature.

Particular importance is attached to personal suitability.

A background check via an extract from the criminal record will be conducted prior to the decision on employment.
