About Strandängsskolan

Strandängsskolan is a preschool to year 9 school with an integrated special needs primary school. The school is located near the sea, nature, and in central Båstad. From preschool to year 6, we have one class per grade level, which is further divided into different groups as needed. Today, we have two after-school care departments, but during the autumn term, we will distribute the after-school care into three departments: one for preschool class, one for years 1-2, and one for years 3-6. All after-school care units collaborate with each other and with teachers regarding joint activities, transitions, and professional development initiatives. Here, students have the opportunity to practice democracy, influence, and responsibility in practice. Play, movement, and creative activities are important parts.

Your Role as an After-School Care Teacher

We are now looking for a certified after-school care teacher at Strandängsskolan for our preschool class and after-school care. As a teacher in our after-school care, you conduct modern and creative education. You contribute to stimulating students' development, deepening their knowledge and experiences, and providing a meaningful leisure time and social community. You also ensure that the education takes into account the students' needs, interests, and experiences and is adapted to their different conditions. Together, we create an activity that meets our students and guardians in the best possible way based on their individual needs.

Responsibilities

Your duties include, among other things, planning, implementing, and evaluating the pedagogical work based on steering documents, individually and together with others.

You collaborate with other school staff to ensure a good learning and working environment for both students and staff, and actively participate in the school's development work. While our students are in school, you collaborate with our school staff, and depending on your qualifications, it may also become relevant for you to teach one or more subjects during the students' school hours.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified after-school care teacher. It is meritorious if you have previous experience in the profession as well as qualifications to teach in a practical-aesthetic subject.

You are creative, flexible, relational, and can adapt your approach and your pedagogical methods and techniques based on the needs of the individual student or student group. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
