Bergsnässkolan is the small school in central Avesta. Currently, there are approximately 230 students here. The school's size is one of our many strengths! All teachers and students at the school work in close interaction with each other, and we value our high quality of teaching combined with a high sense of safety and well-being.

Job Responsibilities

Bergsnässkolan is investing in a two-teacher system! This means the opportunity to have more teachers in the classrooms or to work with smaller student groups. Therefore, we are now looking for teachers with qualifications in core subjects to further increase our teacher density.

You will be part of the initiative to increase teacher density. In collaboration with your colleagues, the work will be structured. This creates the opportunity to have two teachers in the classroom or to divide student groups, thereby enabling work with smaller groups.

You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching at the intermediate level (grades 4-6) in collaboration with your teaching colleagues, in accordance with the Swedish National Curriculum for Compulsory School (Lgr22) and other governing documents. We are looking for you who are qualified in Mathematics/Science (Ma/No).

An important part of the job is to systematically follow the students' knowledge development. You work according to current routines for individual development plans and written assessments.

You strive to create a classroom situation where all students can succeed based on their prerequisites. In consultation with the student health team, you also work to ensure that relevant measures are implemented for students in need of additional support.

You are also responsible for having a good overview and care for your students' school day and social situation as a whole, which may involve contact with other authorities and agencies.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teaching license and the qualification to teach at the intermediate level. You are qualified in Mathematics/Science (Ma/No).

You have the ability to lead and motivate students and create a safe and educational classroom situation, with engaged and participating students. Your leadership is characterized by clarity and structure. For the work to be successful, you need to have good cooperation skills and be relationship-building, as good relationships with both students, guardians, and colleagues are fundamental to the work.

You need to have the ability to adapt your teaching based on results, evaluations, and the individual student's needs. To achieve this, you need to have a good understanding of how different students absorb knowledge and the ability to adapt your teaching method at both group and individual levels.

The responsibilities of a teacher presuppose that you possess personal maturity and the ability to distinguish between the personal and the professional. You also need to be stable and controlled in stressful or pressured situations, as well as flexible and able to adapt to changed circumstances.

You understand the importance of working towards the school's overall goals and following established routines, guidelines, and decisions, and you work loyally for the benefit of the operations.
