What can we offer you?

We are looking for an engaged and development-oriented service and stage technician who will lead and develop the operations together with us. In this role, you have a key role in the collaboration with all staff members. In addition to being responsible for planning, you also work practically with preparations and planning, as well as providing technical support for cinema, exhibitions, and events.

Your main tasks will include:

• Participate in the planning and implementation of events, productions, and exhibitions (construction, assembly, lighting, dismantling).
• Be responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of Kulturhuset in collaboration with other employees.
• Be responsible for technical equipment (sound, light, video, digital installations).
• Be responsible for the technical operation, service, and maintenance of exhibitions and Kulturhuset's fixed equipment.
• Support with transportation, packing, and unpacking according to current safety routines.
• Contribute to the design of assembly solutions, signage, and visitor environments.
• Support other staff with technical questions during events, screenings, and productions.
• Contribute to the development of sustainable and safe working methods within Kulturhuset's technical area.
• Perform and coordinate practical maintenance and repair measures in our buildings.

Working hours are scheduled during day, evening, and night shifts, both on weekdays and weekends, depending on how the operations are open.

Education:

• Upper secondary or post-secondary education in a relevant field, e.g., exhibition technology, craftsmanship/carpentry, building conservation, electricity/sound/light, or equivalent as assessed by the employer.

Skills and competencies:

• Experience in technical work within cinema, stage, and exhibition production.
• Experience in practical work with building maintenance.
• Practical skills in carpentry and construction, electricity, light, sound, and AV technology.
• Knowledge of working environment regulations, safety, and lifting techniques.
• Computer literacy and documentation skills.
• A valid Category B driver's license is required.

Personal qualities:

• Responsible, meticulous, and quality-conscious.
• Independent with good leadership skills and ability to work in teams.
• Creative and proactive, with the ability to handle multiple projects in parallel.
• Practical and solution-oriented.
• Interest in culture, service, and sustainable management.
