Landeryd Parish in the Linköping Cathedral Pastorate is a large, growing urban parish in southern Linköping that also includes the rural areas in that part of the city. The parish has two parish churches with a rich worship life: Landeryd Church and St. John's Church (S:t Hans kyrka) in Ekholmen. We also have activities at Hackeforsgården in the Hackefors district. Our operations are continuously developing, and our confirmation and choir activities are growing.

We are now looking for a church musician at level A, B, or C who wants to take a comprehensive approach to choir life at St. John's Church. We are looking for you who want to help manage existing work, but also develop and seek new paths and relationships for the future. Here you will become an important part of both the parish and the pastorate as a whole. In Landeryd, you will become part of a well-functioning team consisting of 15 people.

About the position

As a church musician in the parish, you will work together with three other church musicians. You will lead the St. John's Choir, which is a mixed choir experienced in performing both large-scale works as well as pop, musicals, and worship music. You will also, in close collaboration with a pedagogical colleague, be responsible for the Children's and Treble Choirs at St. John's Church.

The work also includes duties at high masses, weekly masses, church services, and devotions at service housing facilities. Together with the parish's three other musicians, you will drive music projects and develop the parish's choir life. The position involves continuing to build upon and develop the parish's concert activities. You will become part of our rich worship life where liturgy and music are important.

In the Linköping Cathedral Pastorate, we actively work with youth music-making, and you will have the opportunity to be part of the pastorate's organ school. You will also become part of Collegium Musicum, where all musicians in the pastorate meet for dialogue, reflection, and development.

The tasks are varied, and you will combine independent work with teamwork. Working hours may be scheduled during evenings and weekends.

About you

We are looking for you who are trained as a church musician at level A, B, or C. The position also requires previous experience in leading choirs. You have broad experience and a desire to lead choir singers of all ages.

As a person, you are secure and stable, and you are well rooted in the Church of Sweden's faith and life. The work takes place in close collaboration with colleagues in the parish, and it is important that you appreciate collaborating with others and want to contribute positively to the team.

Landeryd Parish, Ekholmens centrum 8 in Linköping. St. John's Church will be your main workplace, but you will also have some duties at Landeryd Church.
