In the role of Technical Information Specialist, you work on making complex technology understandable for different target groups, which gives you the opportunity to use both your creativity and technical competence in a meaningful way.

You are responsible for collecting and processing technical information from various sources. Your task is to structure and refine the information so that it becomes clear, useful, and adapted to the target audience. You use both text and images to make the technology understandable and accessible. The role also involves close collaboration with other team members and external parties to ensure that the information is correct and relevant.

Your main tasks include producing technical documentation, such as maintenance manuals, maintenance plans, and service bulletins for our products Saab 340, Saab 340 AEW, Saab 2000, Saab 2000 AEW&C, T7, and GlobalEye. You will also support colleagues with language, structure, and pedagogical writing, as well as contribute to developing and improving methods and processes within technical information.

The role suits you if you like taking responsibility, seeing the big picture, and driving work forward. You have many contact points in complex projects, making your collaboration skills and communication abilities crucial. Since we work in various projects with varying scopes, you need to be flexible and enjoy switching between assignments, regardless of whether it concerns methodology, tools, or complexity.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are analytical and have the ability to see connections, while also having a sharp eye for detail and quality. Your solution-oriented attitude and communication skills make you a valuable asset. You easily put yourself in others' perspectives and thrive both in team work and taking individual responsibility. In some assignments, you drive the work independently from start to finish with an engagement that is contagious.

A deep technical understanding is crucial, and experience in electrical and/or mechanical fields is a great advantage. To succeed in the role, you need to be able to immerse yourself in technical material, simplify it, and identify what information is missing to create clear and usable documentation. Your ability to make complex technical concepts understandable and accessible is the key to success.

We see that you have:

• Technical education, for example within technical information, engineering, flight technology, cognitive science, or equivalent, alternatively several years of experience working with technical information
• Experience working with complex products or technical services where structure, precision, and system understanding are crucial
• Curiosity and interest in building relationships within the team and with your contact points
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing

Meritorious:

• Experience in aviation maintenance
• Experience working with technical documentation according to established standards, such as S1000D or iSpec2200
• Experience working with tagging in XML or SGML
• Experience with Simplified Technical English (STE)
• Practical experience from aircraft maintenance or production, for example as an aircraft technician, in assembly, or technical preparation
• Previous work with complex systems within the defense or aerospace industry

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to current regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
