Job Description

We are currently looking for a special needs teacher (specialpedagog) with a specialization in language, reading, and writing acquisition for grades Pre-K to 3 (F-3). As a special needs teacher here, you will primarily be involved in teaching both in class and group settings, as well as to some extent on an individual level. You will actively participate in the work team's activities and planning, contributing a special educational perspective. Since we view collaboration between teachers and special needs teachers as a success factor for our students, you will share overall responsibility for the students and the teaching by identifying and removing obstacles in the learning environment. Together, you will be responsible for screening and mapping, and determining what support measures and adjustments are needed for students requiring support. In your role as a special needs teacher, you are responsible for writing reports on special support and action plans. You will work systematically to plan, implement, and regularly evaluate your interventions.

As a special needs teacher, you are part of the school's student health team, where we work both preventively and promotively, as well as on an individual level. You will have close collaboration with other professionals within the student health service. Furthermore, you will actively participate in the school's ongoing development work. In this development work, we all work together to establish and maintain a good learning and working environment for students and staff at our school.

Qualifications

You, the applicant, are a certified primary school teacher (grades F-3) with a degree in special education specializing in language, reading, and writing acquisition. You have extensive experience working as a teacher and with early reading and writing acquisition. It is an advantage if you have previous experience working as a special needs teacher, have knowledge of Legilexi, have qualifications in Swedish as a second language, and have good knowledge of relevant digital tools.

You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills and can therefore lead and organize your work independently. You should be able to work both together with teaching teachers in the classroom and with smaller groups and individual students. Your approach is inclusive.

You have good knowledge of and a solid interest in reading and writing acquisition. It is an advantage if you also have knowledge in basic mathematics acquisition. You need to have many different methods in your toolbox to be able to support both teachers and students in the best possible way. Your teaching is modern and creative and aims to reach and find strategies to strengthen the students you meet in terms of knowledge.

You develop your work based on evidence-based research. You have a flexible and non-hierarchical approach and see the value in learning from and with others.

We look forward to receiving your application!
