Job Description

We are now looking for you who have a high level of service and security awareness. You are also a problem solver with significant social skills.

As a Security Guard (Skyddsvakt), your primary task is to deliver safety to our customers. You do this, for example, in a monitoring center or at an access control point. As a security guard, you have greater authority than a standard guard and often work in close collaboration with our customers' staff at sites of crucial importance to Sweden's security.

The work is independent and often feels free, but comes with great responsibility. You will monitor the site through extensive supervision and patrolling, so you need to be comfortable standing and walking for long periods.

Working Hours: Day shift on a 5/2 schedule, typical working hours 06:30–18:30.

For example, you will:

• Ensure that no unauthorized persons gain access to the sites through access control checks.
• Handle alarms and take action.
• Show presence at entrances and within the building.
• Work with reception-like tasks.

Requirements

• Approved grades in Swedish from the first year of upper secondary school.
• Good knowledge of English.
• You are a certified Security Guard (Skyddsvakt) with valid approval or have trained as a Guard (Väktare) at least VU2 level.
• Worked in the security industry for at least 3 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Worked in service professions or reception duties.
• Have weapons training (HAS).
• Have worked with similar tasks previously.
• Are accustomed to working independently and in close contact with customers.

• The position is full-time with start date by agreement. We apply a 6-month probation period.

For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, you are required to have approved grades from upper secondary school in Swedish and be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Security Protection Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements for approval under the respective legislation, a background check is conducted. The assessment concerns law-abidingness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and potential vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from yourself, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when evaluating suitability for the respective position.

Salary and terms of employment are based on a collective agreement between the employer organization Säkerhetsföretagen and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
