We collaborate closely with leading Swedish researchers regarding teaching development in preschool, primary school, and adult education. We are bold and test new innovative ideas such as VR in teaching. We consider movement in both new construction and the development of outdoor environments, and offer movement analysis to our staff. We carry out early interventions together with social services and have a joint mobile team to help students with problematic absenteeism. We are now looking for a Teacher for School Age Educare (Fritidshem) for our team in the school units Södervång/Svanetorp in Åkarp!

Södervångskolan F–3

Is the small school with great commitment. Here, approximately 120 students are distributed across six classes with an associated school age educare unit. An open and trusting climate prevails here, where we work together to create a school we can be proud of.

Svanetorpskolan

Is an F-3 school with approximately 100 students distributed across three age-homogeneous classes, a preschool class, and a school age educare unit.

We have a positive view of our students, high expectations, and always put their development and well-being at the center. Collegial learning is a natural part of our operations; we learn from and with each other to develop continuously.

As a teacher for school age educare, you will become part of our committed team, where driven and competent colleagues together create a meaningful, joyful, and stimulating school age educare activity.

Responsibilities

As a teacher for school age educare, you work at one of our F-3 schools based on the school age educare assignment and contribute to students receiving an inspiring, creative, and challenging after-school activity. You promote social interaction, good peer relationships, and support students' development of important skills for the future.

• You are a central part of our team and drive pedagogical development forward together with your colleagues with a clear "whole-day" perspective.
• Together with your colleagues, you design varied teaching where students' needs and interests drive the content of the activity.
• You plan, implement, and evaluate the activity systematically, in close collaboration with the work group and in accordance with steering documents and operational goals.
• During school hours, you are attached to one of the school's classes and collaborate with the class mentor. Sometimes you work with half a class and are responsible for, for example, values-based work, movement, or creative activities.
• You collaborate with student health services, the work group, and other staff to ensure a high-quality activity.
• You build and maintain good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified primary school teacher for school age educare (fritidspedagog) or have other education or experience that we assess as equivalent. Experience working as a primary school teacher for school age educare is meritorious.

You have good knowledge of the school's steering documents and can use them in a clear and effective way in your work, both during the school day and at school age educare. Your didactic and pedagogical competence enables you to lead and organize teaching to create good, stimulating learning environments for students throughout the day.

We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in children's development and learning and who are passionate about your assignment. You have the ability to see each student and meet them based on their individual needs and prerequisites.
