We are united in our strive to understand, explain, and improve our world and the conditions of human life.

Workplace Description

The Department of Electrical and Information Technology at Lund University's Faculty of Engineering (LTH) is one of the larger departments, with approximately 120 employees. The department consists of four divisions as well as a technical and administrative group. We are located in Building E on LTH's campus in northern Lund, but also have teaching activities at the Helsingborg campus.

We are currently seeking 23–26 teaching assistants for teaching activities during Study Period (SP) 1, and in some cases also SP 2, for the academic year 2026/2027.

Responsibilities

As a teaching assistant, your duties may vary, but they are intended to provide insight into the academic world within the faculty where you are pursuing your studies.

You will primarily assist with teaching in the department's courses and support course coordinators with related tasks. This may include assessing assignments, holding question-and-answer sessions, participating in course development, and other administrative duties, depending on current needs.

We are seeking teaching assistants for engagement in the following courses:

  • EITA35 Electronics (Lund and Helsingborg), SP 1–2
  • ETEF15 Circuit and Measurement Technology, Advanced Course (Helsingborg)
  • EITF35 Digital Structures on Silicon
  • EITF65 Digital Technology, SP 1–2
  • EITF51 Circuits and Systems for Wireless Communications
  • EITA55 Communication Systems
  • EITA15 Digital Systems (Helsingborg), SP 1–2
  • EITG01 Computer and Telecommunications

Work in other courses than those listed above may also occur.

Qualifications

To be eligible for employment as a teaching assistant, you must be admitted to a basic or advanced level program at the faculty (or a neighboring subject for joint departments). Your degree must not be completed.

Requirements for the position are:

  • Admitted to a bachelor's program in electrical engineering or computer engineering, or equivalent education deemed relevant by the employer.
  • Very good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Good grades from courses within the subject.
  • An outgoing personality, ease in interacting with others, and strong pedagogical skills.

Merits for the position are:

  • Previous teaching experience as a teaching assistant or hourly employee at the department or related areas.
  • Grades in other courses within subjects relevant to the chosen course(s).

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. Consideration will be given to good teamwork skills and how the applicant, through their experience and competence, is assessed to complement and strengthen teaching within the department.

What We Offer

Lund University is a government agency that offers favorable employment conditions. As a student employed as a teaching assistant, you have the opportunity to combine studies with work, complementing your theoretical knowledge with practical work experience within academia. Other Information

The employment is fixed-term for the period 2026-08-31 to 2026-10-16 (SP 1) and 2026-08-31 to 2026-12-18 (SP 1 and 2). The scope is between 5–40% of full-time employment, according to agreement.

The employment must not negatively affect the teaching assistant's studies and cannot be combined with other employment.
