BMSL is a multilingual preschool and primary school operating according to the Swedish curriculum. From the age of one to ninth grade, our students pass through the same gates here in central Lund. This provides security and continuity for students, teachers, and parents alike. Perhaps this is part of the reason why many students view the school as their second home. Today, there are 44 children in the preschool and 420 students in the primary school (grades F-9). Educators and children/students come from various countries and diverse cultures. BMSL is a highly stimulating and dynamic workplace. In our operations, children are exposed to English, French, and Swedish from the time they start preschool until they leave primary school.

We are looking for a secure and engaged student assistant

Do you want to make a real difference in students' daily lives and contribute to security, development, and learning? We are now looking for a student assistant who wants to work closely with a specific student throughout the school day and be an important support both socially and pedagogically.

As a student assistant, you work closely with students for the entire or part of the school day. Your task is to create structure, security, and good conditions for students' learning and participation in teaching.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with teachers, student health services, and guardians.

Responsibilities

• Support students in teaching situations and during breaks
• Help with structure, planning, and clarifying pedagogy
• Contribute to a secure and positive school environment by preparing students for activities, clarifying expectations, and noticing early signs of the need for adjustments or support
• Adapt support based on students' needs and daily condition
• Collaborate with school staff regarding students' development
• Document and follow up according to school routines

We are looking for someone who

• Is calm, secure, and relationship-building
• Has good cooperation skills and is flexible
• Is clear and structured in your approach to work
• Has a genuine interest in the development of children and young people
• Has experience working in schools, with NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders), special needs support, or similar operations (meritorious)
• Has relevant education or experience that the employer deems equivalent

The position is a needs-based employment at 75% with a start date of August 10, 2026, or as agreed. We apply a 6-month probationary period. Since we are a multilingual preschool, we also see that you are comfortable speaking and writing in English and Swedish.
