We are currently recruiting for a position within gynecology and obstetrics, a well-functioning unit at Visby Hospital. We perform over 500 deliveries per year and have a comprehensive gynecological practice with both outpatient and inpatient care. Currently, there are 12 doctors working in the unit, four of whom are specialist trainees (ST).

Your responsibilities

Your introduction to the specialty begins with observation (auscultation) at the delivery ward and the gynecology clinic. You will be assigned a supervisor, and when you start having your own clinic hours, the day-back-on-call service is available to support you. Before you begin on-call duties, no earlier than six months and no later than one year after starting your specialist training, you must have worked for at least three months at a larger delivery clinic.

Our gynecological practice is a broad general gynecology clinic, including infertility and abortion services. Surgical operations at Visby consist of day-surgery procedures and inpatient surgeries. The delivery ward is primarily staffed by experienced midwives.

Who are you?

You are a licensed physician. We are looking for someone who wants to work at a smaller hospital.

You work well in a team with a focus on the patient's best interests. Your ability to collaborate and take responsibility are prioritized areas, and we place great emphasis on personal qualities.

A background check via an extract from the criminal record register will be conducted prior to the hiring decision.
