Do you want to work close to the technology and help develop drive systems for demanding industrial applications worldwide? As a Development Engineer at Hägglunds, you will become an important part of the development of our products – from idea to finished solution.

About the Role

As a Development Engineer in our Hägglunds team, you will work on the development of our drive systems – motors, control systems, accessories, and units. You will become part of our internal consultancy operation together with a number of experienced colleagues, which means varied work where you contribute to several cross-functional and technology-intensive projects across our entire product portfolio.

The role involves having a key part in the development and improvement of our current and future products. You will participate throughout the entire product lifecycle – from early concept studies and new development to further development and phase-out – and contribute technical decision support that influences both design and performance.

You will work in a family-oriented environment with close collaboration between development, testing, production, and other internal functions, as well as with external and international contacts. In Mellansel, we have access to one of Europe's largest hydraulic test laboratories for testing and verification, as well as a state-of-the-art workshop directly connected to the development department. This creates unique opportunities to combine analysis and theory with practical testing in everyday work.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Independently responsible for developing and presenting technical decision support in design and development issues, where simulations and calculations may be part of the process.
• Participate in development projects in close collaboration with designers, testing, and other functions.
• Document and communicate results, both orally and in writing.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

• A University Degree or Higher Education Engineer in a relevant technical field.
• At least three years of practical experience in design or development work.
• Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Experience working in a CAD environment, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
• Experience with Matlab or similar is considered an asset.
