About the activity:

The Culture School in Vallentuna teaches children and young people in instruments, singing, choir, music production, dance, theater, musical, visual arts, creative writing, and the FMT method. Teaching takes place during the students' free time in the Culture School's own premises or, in some cases, in primary school premises.

The Culture School belongs to the Culture and Leisure Administration together with the libraries, other cultural activities such as Vallentuna Culture House, Vallentuna Theater, and the municipality's work with art and cultural environments, Youth and Active Leisure, as well as the Sports and Outdoor Unit.

Responsibilities:

The position involves teaching children and young people between 6–19 years in saxophone, clarinet, and ensemble, as well as cultural workshops. You will participate in various working groups and processes to develop a relevant and inspiring culture school.

The position consists mainly of teaching in term courses on afternoons and evenings. Work on weekends occurs.

Qualifications:

  • You have music teacher education or other education/experience that the employer considers equivalent.
  • You have saxophone as your main instrument and have the competence to teach clarinet.
  • You have documented experience of teaching children and young people at different levels in a culture school, or other activity that the employer considers equivalent.
  • You have good IT skills.

The employment is part-time, 60%, and a fixed-term position starting 2026-08-11 until 2027-06-07 or as agreed. We apply individual salary setting.
