The Gynecology Clinic is part of the Obstetrics and Gynecology department at Visby Hospital, which includes inpatient obstetric and gynecological care, maternity ward, gynecological clinic, midwife clinic, and youth clinic. The department has a total of approximately 80 employees.

At the clinic, healthcare assistants, midwives, doctors, nurses, and social workers work with patients with various gynecological needs, ranging from examinations and treatments to addressing various questions and investigating different conditions or complaints.

The clinic also functions partially as a gynecological emergency unit, meaning varied and dynamic working days.

Your responsibilities

You will work with coordinating and organizing the clinic's daily and weekly patient flow, including scheduled visits, waiting lists, bookings via TeleQ and 1177, as well as urgent cases. The role involves some telephone counseling, direct patient contact, and active participation in operational development and improvement work.

The role also includes having some overview of staffing, identifying personnel needs, and contributing to planning and follow-up of schedules.

Who are you?

You are an experienced nurse, preferably with experience in gynecology and clinic work.

You need to be flexible in your approach as the pace can change quickly, and reprioritizations and workload distribution can change with short notice. Good administrative skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously are important.

A background check via an extract from the criminal record will be conducted prior to the employment decision.
