Description

The Business Development Team in Lysekil Municipality is part of the Business and Communication Department. In collaboration with other administrations and external organizations, we contribute to:

  • Entrepreneurs in Lysekil Municipality experiencing good conditions to establish, run, and develop businesses.
  • The municipality becoming an attractive place to live, experience, and visit.

The department belongs to the Municipal Executive Board Administration and currently has fourteen employees distributed across three teams: business development, communication, and contact center. We are now looking for a Business Strategist with Team Leader Responsibility. In addition to the Business Strategist, the team consists of a Business Developer focusing on events, tourism, and center development, as well as a Business Guide.

Responsibilities

Developing a good business climate is one of Lysekil Municipality's most important goals. The role of Business Strategist involves driving the work to achieve this goal, in collaboration with other parts of the municipality and the external environment. The work includes building relationships with existing businesses to foster a good business climate. You contribute to good conditions for new establishments and stimulate new entrepreneurship. You collaborate with other actors to contribute to a well-functioning competence supply for our businesses. You work strategically and operationally with business issues in Lysekil Municipality and are responsible for the goal of developing a good business climate.

At the department, we work together and share responsibility for certain assignments, but we also have our different areas of expertise, meaning the work is also independent. You collaborate with other administrations and companies within the municipal group. It is also part of your role to influence other actors in society to create good conditions for strong entrepreneurship. In collaboration with your manager and team colleagues, you build networks with businesses, associations, authorities, other municipalities, and actively participate in various forums.

Qualifications

We look for you to have a relevant university education with a business or entrepreneurial focus, or other experience that the employer deems equivalent. You should have knowledge of the conditions for entrepreneurship in small and large businesses and preferably have personal experience of running a business. Experience in networking and relationship-building activities is a valuable asset in the work. Experience in business promotion work from a municipality is meritorious. The same applies to experience with social media.

You are an ambitious and energetic person who gets things done. You are persistent and ensure that results are achieved. You are calm and stable, but also possess the flexibility required to work independently on complex issues and adapt to changes.

Your social skills are crucial for success in the role. You have excellent collaboration skills and are highly receptive. You enjoy helping others and delivering solutions. Dialogue is important to you, and you have an easy way of communicating, inspiring, and creating engagement around business issues. You must be able to adapt messages to different target groups; from writing decision materials for politics to simpler texts for social media. With your attitude and way of working, you win the trust and confidence of entrepreneurs. Your analytical skills help you see new opportunities for development in business and the municipality. We would prefer that you have a regional connection.

  • The work involves certain commitments outside regular working hours.
  • Valid B-class driver's license.
  • Permanent position – full-time.
