Statens servicecenter is a civil contingency authority and is part of the Economic Security sector within the civil contingency sector.

The Security Unit is responsible for the overall and coordinating security work across all areas of the authority's operations.

This includes, among other things, steering, coordination, support, and follow-up of the authority's cohesive work regarding civil defense and continuity planning, as well as steering, coordination, support, and follow-up of the authority's work with information security, security protection, signal security, personal security, and physical security.

We are looking for you who, together with your colleagues, want to develop the authority's capability in crisis preparedness and civil defense.

Main Responsibilities

• Steer, develop, coordinate, support, and follow up on the authority's mandate as a civil contingency authority
• Develop and implement governing and supporting documents within the area
• Follow up on the authority's preparedness work according to external and internal requirements
• Conduct analyses and write reports
• Develop training and exercises, and conduct and evaluate them
• Collaborate externally with authorities and other actors in the total defense
• Support all areas of the authority's operations regarding continuity plans for the entire threat spectrum
• Participate in and drive government assignments
• Handle and respond to remiss (official consultations) received by the unit

To succeed in your role at the authority, you need to enjoy driving development work and providing support to other operations. You have the ability to see what needs to be done and the drive to turn a strategic plan into actual measures, as well as evaluating their effect. Additionally, you must have the ability to combine strategic analysis work with operational support to help operations prioritize and implement measures. You consider it natural to support the department's other security work when needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• Education in the risk, crisis, or preparedness field, or other education that the employer deems relevant for the position
• At least three years of experience working with crisis preparedness and/or civil defense
• Experience in project work
• Experience working in the public sector
• Knowledge and work experience in developing training and exercises within the relevant area, as well as conducting and evaluating them

Knowledge and work experience in:

• The Swedish preparedness system and its regulations
• Continuity management

Furthermore, you should have the following skills:

• Take independent responsibility for your tasks
• Maintain motivation and efficiency until the work is completed
• Drive development work
• Treat others based on their needs
• Be able to prioritize what needs to be done and in what order from a holistic perspective
• Be calm, stable, and in control of yourself in challenging situations
• Communicative; good pedagogical ability to summarize and convey information so that others understand
• Create structure in your work
• Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish

Merits

Additionally, it is meritorious if you have experience with:

• Staff methodology
• Security protection work

Other

The position is 100% and permanent.

We apply a six-month probationary period.

The position is located in Sundbyberg, Stockholm.

The position involves some travel within Sweden, approx. 10–20 trips per year.

This position requires a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act. As an employee, you may also be assigned wartime duties based on the needs of the total defense.
